Economic impact analysis & beyond
Economic, fiscal and social impact studies, each delivered with a designed report and a board presentation.
Economic impact analysis
We quantify how your organization influences a regional economy using IMPLAN input-output modeling. Our team also has hands-on experience with REMI, RIMS II, Lightcast, Chmura, and Eora Global MRIO, so we can pick the model that suits each study. Every report documents its model, inputs and geography. Every study measures: jobs supported, labor income, GDP/GRP, economic output, and fiscal impacts by tax type and government level.
We use Multi-Regional Input-Output (MRIO) models when studies span multiple geographies, capturing commuting and trade patterns.

Frequently asked questions
How much does an economic impact study cost?
Costs vary based on scope, geography, data requirements, and methodology. Every engagement has a fixed fee. Typical ranges run from $3,000 to $150,000 and up; our cost guide explains what drives them.
How long does an economic impact study take?
Most studies are completed in 4 to 12 weeks depending on data availability and scope. For urgent needs, we can deliver a study in as little as one to two weeks on an expedited basis. Proposals with detailed timelines are delivered within 48 hours of your inquiry. Our guide to study timelines gives typical durations by type of study.
What is IMPLAN and why does it matter?
IMPLAN is a widely used input-output modeling platform that traces how spending moves through a regional economy. It quantifies direct, indirect, and induced effects across jobs, income, output, and tax revenues. Our team includes two IMPLAN Certified Economists and also has experience with REMI, RIMS II, Lightcast, Chmura, and Eora Global MRIO, allowing us to select the right tool for each engagement.
What deliverables are included?
Our studies can include a professionally designed final report (PDF), an executive summary, a presentation deck (PowerPoint), a formatted data workbook (Excel), and in-person board presentations. Deliverables are scoped to each engagement and detailed in your proposal.
Why does independence matter in economic impact analysis?
Legislators, journalists, and stakeholders scrutinize both methodology and motive. As an independent firm with no financial interest in the outcomes we study, our findings carry more weight in public hearings, media coverage, and stakeholder presentations.
Do you work outside of California?
Yes. While we are based in Los Angeles, our work is nationwide. We have completed studies in Texas, Montana, Missouri, and across multiple other states. Our input-output models, including those done in IMPLAN and other tools, cover every U.S. county and ZIP code.
